Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Specialist Dr. Emirali Hamioğlu, stated that, according to statistics, Botox treatment is the most used, cosmetic medical treatment in the World.
Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Specialist Dr. Emirali Hamioğlu, was born in Gazimağusa’s Karakol neighbourhood in 1964, after graduating, first from Karakol elementary school and then Namık Kemal high school, he studied medicine in Turkey and continued his working life there. He stated that,according to statistics, botox treatment is the most used, cosmetic medical treatment in the World.
Dr. Emirali Hamioğlu, stated that, botox treatment is preferred by, both men and women in the World.
Hamioğlu explained that, cosmetic surgery tends to have a different distribution between men and women, in Turkey and in the World, he added that, primarily, among men the most common cosmetic surgery type is hair transplantation.
Dr. Hamioğlu, explained that, women prefer, botox and breast lifting operations besides another operation which is Liposuction.
Hamioğlu: most common in men is hair transplanting
Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Specialist Dr. Emirali Hamioğlu, stated to our newspaper NORTH CYPRUS UK that, he, was born in Gazimağusa’s Karakol neighbourhood in 1964, fist he studied in Karakol elementary school and then graduated from Namık Kemal high school,
He stated that after graduating from Namık Kemal high school, he studied in, 9 Eylül Universities, medical faculty.
After completing his studies in İzmir, he stated that he specialized in aesthetic plastic and reconstructive surgery, at Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital in İstanbul, after that he worked as aesthetic plastic surgeon, in various, private hospitals clinics and his private medical clinic.
Dr. Hamioğlu told us that, he is working in Transmed Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery clinic for many years in İstanbul.
Stating that he does not have any business ties with Cyprus, says that he has never broke of his social relations, he comes to Cyprus each month 3rd Wednesday and returns to İstanbul on Sundays.
Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, remarked that, his, family, friends and associates are in Cyprus and he takes pleasure in visiting them frequently.
He remarked that, the clinic he is working in İstanbul, is utterly a clinic working on aesthetic surgery, and has surgery capacity, and they only accept inpatients but big operations are definitely carried out in a hospital.
Hamioğlu explained that, cosmetic surgery tends to have a different distribution between men and women, in Turkey and in the World, he added that, primarily, among man the most common cosmetic surgery type is hair transplantation.
Hamioğlu explained that, their clinic is known both in Turkey and worldwide, he also pointed out that they achieved many things first he first time in their clinic.
Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu said “I was present at most of the hair transplant surgeries in Turkey. I observed all the contemporary stages, I am the first to implement some of the techniques in Turkey. I am the first person to use implement the FUE Technique. This technique has now spread through Turkey and the world”.
Hamioğlu pointed out that, hair loss is a situation and underlined that 50 percent of males more or less have this problem.
Hamioğlu explained that, the reason for 99 percent of the 50 percent of men that has hair loss problems is Androgenetic hair loss type for males, he stated that, human being lose their hair from the genetic structure the take from their families.
Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, stated that, stress increases hair loss a fair amount, but if a person does not have genetic code passed from the family, it is not likely that all the hair will be lost, because of stress.

Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, explained that, botox is a toxin obtained from a microorganism, and stated that botox is being used medicine for 40 years.
Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, explained that, in the past botox was used for torticollis and eye contraction treatment, he added that recently people are using it for beauty purposes. He remarked that, according to statistics, botox application is the most used aesthetic medical application, saying that, is quite a simple application and it approximately takes 15 minutes to carry out.
Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, stated that, Liposuction (removing body fat) operation is another application women prefers.
Hamioğlu stated that, body fat removing operation is very widespread both in Turkey and in the world, quoted that, Liposuction is an attempt to remove fats concentrated in specially certain parts of the body.
Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu; said’’ There is a technique we practice. We are doing this initiative in a limited area with just local aesthetic. We can use this initiative, by giving a little sedation by transfusion, this would loosen the patient and we can implement this initiative in a limited area. Especially, women living in Cyprus, Turkey and The Mediterranean basin, tends to have fat deposits on the hips. This is something specific to women in the Mediterranean basin. The Liposuction we implement to prevent this, is a very effective initiative. We achieve pretty good results. We process the fat from the hip area and inject it to the buttocks area.
Important progress is made in breast lifting technique
Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, giving information to our newspaper about breast lifting operations, stated that, these oprations are implemented on women, who have floppy breast, who have natural big breasts or on women giving birth.
Hamioğlu remarked that, breast lifting operations are carried out about in two and a half hours under general anaesthesia, explained that the technique made progress in time and now a day, they could implement this initiative with small cuts round the nipple and towards the breast line.
Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, stated that in the past, they were implementing a revers T shape, but because this generated a big line and it was not too attractive for people.
He said that, the technique has shown a rapid development, and with the new techniques they aim to make the breasts like it was on an 18-year-old, Hamioğlu added that, they are trying to approach this form as much as the patients breast allows.
In aesthetic surgery patient loss is minimal
Drawing attention to the minimal patient loss in aesthetic surgery, Hamioğlu said that, even though these persons are mentioned as patients, in realty these are healthy people and they get in touch with us to become better persons.
Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, indicted that, these peoples demand is, especially for the improvement of their appearances.
Hamioğlu underlined the fact that because they work away from vital organs, mortality rate is very low compared to other branches, said that, this should be so, because we implement initiatives on perfectly healthy people.
Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, indicated that mortality is a much-debated subject for Liposuction. Hamioğlu stated that, we should not see Liposuctions a weight-loss operation but it should be seen as an initiative to reform the contours of the body.
Hamioğlu narrated that, the risks are very minimal for Liposuction, when it is not considered as a weight-loss operation, but if an effort is made to bring down a person, from 150 Kg to 90 Kg, this will carry serious risks.Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, explained that, when Liposuction is implemented the fat ration taken should not be more than 10 percent of the body weight.

Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu, indicated as:’’The perspective for aesthetic in Turkey is much more positive compared to the past. Turkey is not just appealing to the Turkısh people on the aesthetic subject. More than half of the aesthetic operations performed in Turkey are on overseas patients. Health tourism is developed in Turkey. There is quite a big share, its nearly 2 million dollars and a large part of this comes from aesthetic initiatives. A fair amount of patient groups, also comes for, eye, orthopaedics and cardiovascular surgery. The large part of the patients, are coming for aesthetic surgery intentions. There’s a large group of people in the Turkish population that demand these initiatives. The clinic I am working in, work with groups that have a high socio-economic levels above average. There is no difference in the perspective of this group to aesthetic operations form European countries. There are a lot of patients coming from the middle- east. Patients come from the Arabian countries such as, especially from, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Dubai, Iran, Syria. The majority of the patients come from Saudi Arabia. We also have patients from European countries. Highest number of patients from Europa comes from Holland. We have quite a lot of patients from Romania, I preformed operation on some, famous Romanian artists.
